Virtual Tours

If your family has been approved for the Student Assistance Scheme (STAS), your child's stationery pack is available for collection from the office for Years 7 -12.

The office is from 9:00am - 3:00pm during the holidays.

Levies will be mailed out to families late February. If you would like to pay the levies off in instalments, please set this up with your banking institution.

Students Last Day - Wednesday 21 December

Term 1 - First day for students is Wednesday 8 February 2023.

The school office will re-open on Monday 9 January, office hours during the school holidays will be 9:00am - 3:00pm.

Kingston Beach Volleyball - Cancelled Thursday & Friday

Sorry for late notice we have only just been informed.

If you are on your way to Kingston Beach, please turn around and head to school. If you are at the beach, the THS bus will shuttle students back to school

Bus Service - Mt Nelson/Tolmans HIll

There will be an increase in service capacity to Taroona High School for Mt Nelson/Tolmans Hill students in the afternoon.

Currently, a route 282 service to Hobart departs Taroona High School at 2:47pm to the Hobart CBD, to increase capacity of other route 282 services at 2:45 and 2:50pm. This arrangement is temporary.

The 2:47pm service will become permanent (subject to ongoing demand). After arriving in Hobart, the bus will then operate a new route X58 (school days only) Hobart to Tolmans Hill and Mt Nelson at 3:20pm on school days. Students travelling through to Mt Nelson will be able to remain on board between trips.

Taroona High School will close at 12:15pm today, normal classes are scheduled for the morning. Bus services will remain the same as a normal school day.

Bus Fares

All students catching school buses need to pay a fare – either by purchasing a bus ticket - $15.20 for a sheet of 10 tickets or $1.90 for a single ticket or by showing a free pass greencard.

We are having increasing difficulty getting students to show their bus passes to the driver. Students seem to think they don’t have to pay and can just walk past the bus driver.

Under the Dept State Growth regulations, the fares must be paid to the bus company.

Show Day and Student Free Day
